You put the tray at the spread stopper and fix it with the black knob.
THE NEW MODULAR REPORT TRIPOD SYSTEM
The light magnesium mounting head serves as module basis for 14 different inserts. The module insert can be changed at all times using a special wrench (included in the delivery of the changing module). The fixation in the cone ensures a positive-locking, clearance-free connection of the components.
The Astronomy-Tripods Report are with a spreader between the tripod legs and not with the adjuster for different angle as for the Photography-Tripods Report.

Really, probably the best tripod I have ever had. When I saw it first, it was smaller than expected (the minimum height above is anyway wrong), so maybe model 4072 was ideal for me, but anyway it is very good for its little weight."
