When using the tripod for the ZWO AM 5, we also recommend the floor plate (#5006184) or, better yet, the base plate (#5006180). Thanks to its flange with recesses, the base plate prevents twisting and provides more clearance around the azimuth adjustment knobs.
When using the ZWO PE 200 column extension, unscrew the plate at the bottom and screw it onto the mount.
