Product Description
Our tripod head for the astronomy sector allows for smooth height adjustment of loads up to 60 kg. With the geared center column (Ø 70 mm), large binoculars and mounts can be easily and safely adjusted in height (355 mm).Since January 2022, there is only one type of spindle.
The base is always the connection flange, which, if necessary, can be expanded with an additional adapter to fit your equipment (for more information see the link below).
Delivery includes extractor.
The crank, for example, is removable for transport. With a light press of the thumb on the central cover cap, the crank can be detached from the gear.
With the Planet wooden tripod, characterized by large wooden cross-sections and innovative clamping elements, a high load capacity and very good stability with maximum damping properties are achieved. The extremely flat tripod head with a 105 mm wide tripod leg connection ensures maximum torsional rigidity.
The spread angle is 24° with a non-adjustable spread lock.
Delivery includes spread lock (optional ring spreader, adjustable or non-adjustable).
For the adjustable and non-adjustable spread locks, a tray is included; for the ring spreader, it is not.

The greatest advantage of an adjustable spread lock: over the entire working range, from minimum setup height to maximum, you always have an optimal, relatively uniform setup radius (leg triangle).
For all crank tripods, this can even be kept almost constant. That means: the user determines the leg extension length and spread bar extension length of the spreader in the 3 stages before using the optics and then has their variable height through the column lift.
